Gaudiya Vaisnavism

Gaudiya Vaishnavism is a devotional Hindu tradition centered on Kṛṣṇa as the Supreme Bhagavan. It emerged in Bengal during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries through the teachings and influence of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. The tradition places strong emphasis on bhakti, especially through congregational chanting of the divine names (sankirtana), scriptural study, and the cultivation of loving devotion toward Kṛṣṇa. A defining feature of Gaudiya theology is its profound reverence for Srimati Radharani as the highest embodiment of divine love. Its philosophical foundation is the doctrine of acintya-bhedabheda, which teaches the simultaneous oneness and difference between Bhagavan, individual souls, and the cosmos. Today, Gaudiya Vaishnavism is practiced worldwide and continues to shape devotional spirituality, theology, literature, and sacred music.
