Satyavrata Muni is a revered sage in the Vedic tradition, best known as the composer of the Damodarastakam, one of the most beloved devotional hymns in the vaisnava tradition. Preserved within the Padma Purana, this prayer glorifies the childhood form of Krishna as Dāmodara, the Supreme Lord who willingly allows Himself to be bound by the loving affection of His mother Yaśodā. Although little historical information about his life has been preserved, the tradition honors Satyavrata Muni as a great devotee whose profound spiritual realization is reflected in his prayers.
